A little about the performers -

“A sense of space and elegant poise are key features in the musical world of Yoko Miura. Impressionistic glimpses, like half remembered phrases sometimes left to hang in the air, take the listener to a sound world filled with space and natural beauty.”
Born in Tokyo, Yoko Miura had classical piano lessons between the age of 5 and 18, following which her diverging jazz and classical influences led to study with many of the countries leading teachers. Since 2001 she has travelled regularly outside of Japan, performing with many of the leading figures of European experimentalism.

Charlie Collins is a creative percussionist, free polyrhythmic drummer, and sound artist, based in the UK. His early recordings for cult labels Industrial, Fetish, and Doublevision were followed by collaboration with many of the pioneers of free improvisation, while a lifelong interest in East Asian percussion and rhythm technique informs much of his current work.

Derek Saw, a founding member of the legendary Hornweb, is a multi-brass player steeped in both the cutting edges of performance and the deeper traditions of jazz and blues.
